Privacy & data
MechLab Geek is a small personal project. This page explains, in plain terms, what data is handled, why, and what you can do about it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA). Like any server, it receives your IP address and technical details of your browser when a page loads, and keeps them for a limited time in its logs, for security and to run the site. Data leaving the EU does so with the safeguards the GDPR requires.
Analytics
Vercel Analytics counts page views and visitors without cookies and without tracking individuals: it does not store your IP, and a visit is recognised by a value that changes every day.
What your browser keeps
Your browser keeps, on your device and without sending them to anyone: the theme you chose (light or dark) and the last values of each calculator (localStorage), and where you were on a page, to bring you back to it (sessionStorage, cleared when you close the tab). You can clear them in your browser settings (site data).
If you write to us
If you write to contact@mechlabgeek.com, your address and message are used only to answer you, and deleted once no longer needed.
Your rights
The controller of this data is the owner of MechLab Geek (contact@mechlabgeek.com). You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to that address. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
